Retention Checklist
RDN and the Hunter New England Succession Planning Group have been working hard to build the capacity of communities and practices to retain their clinical staff. The Retention Checklist is the first resource from the Retention Toolkit, a set of information collected from communities across NSW designed to help individuals, practices and communities support clinicians to stay in a rural or remote area.
As we know, rural clinicians share a common purpose but there are significant differences in their personal and professional experiences in the rural workplace. While the Retention Toolkit brings together all the commonalities of rural living, it understands the differences in access to collegial support, quality of relationships and community fit and how they impact resilience and skill development.
