Practice Sustainability Grant

The Practice Sustainability Grant aims to improve the viability and sustainability of rural practices by providing funding to practice managers and practice administration staff to upskill in business management. The grants are funded by the Department of Health & Aged Care, Rural Health Workforce Support Program and are administered through Rural Doctors Network (RDN).

Applicants can apply for up to $1000 per individual with a maximum of 2 applications per applicant each financial year.  Applications are now open.


Read before applying:

Available to practice managers and non-clinical administration staff who are employed in private primary healthcare practice in a MMM 3-7 location in NSW and providing a minimum service of 15 hours per week. Activities undertaken by eligible staff of an Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS) or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHS) in MM 1 – 7 locations in NSW are also eligible. Applicants must apply for the grant prior to the educational activity taking place.

 

What the funding covers


Eligible Activities

  • Online or face-to-face short courses, workshops, conferences and seminars.

  • Vocational education and training courses.

  • Recognised industry skills training.

  • Course/activity to commence within 4 months of application submission.

  • Travel-related subsidies include travel and accommodation.
