NSW Rural Doctors Network warmly welcomes Bernadette Gotch to the team

Bernadette has commenced in the newly created role of Director – Service Delivery. The role reports directly to the CEO and sits within the Executive leadership group together with the Director – Governance and Health Service Development, and the General Manager.
The Director – Service Delivery is responsible for the operational delivery of RDN’s core service units – Workforce, Outreach, Education and Training, and Future Workforce. The role is also integral to supporting RDN’s strategy, culture and performance to enable achievement of our objectives.
Bernadette brings to RDN an established track record of service delivery across multiple networks including private, public and government organisations. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Certificate in Trauma/Critical Care, having commenced her career as a Registered Nurse at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. Bernadette specialised in both intensive care and trauma before working as an Aviation Nurse, undertaking many international and domestic missions on both commercial and air ambulance aircrafts. Bernadette was chosen to attend Harvard Business School on two occasions where she successfully completed an executive leadership course in both financial acumen and ‘leading in turbulent times’. She is currently studying her Master of Laws and Administration.
Bernadette’s other roles include supporting the Ministries of Health throughout the South Pacific, and senior roles at International SOS, the world’s leading medical and travel security risk services company, most recently as General Manager Assistance, Australasia.
Bernadette joins RDN from The NRMA, Australia’s largest member organisation, where she spent 12 months as the General Manager of Customer Operations.
