11th December 2023
Last month, Director of Knowledge Mobilisation at Rural Doctors Network (RDN), Yann Guisard, addressed the SAX Institute 2023 Colloquium on behalf of RDN.
The Sax Colloquium is an annual gathering of the Institure's members and aims to assess the current state of critical health system and policy challenges to propose priority areas of work for the year ahead.
RDN was invited to participate by providing a keynote address and panel discussion. Mr Guisard took part alongside the National Rural Health Commissioner, Adjunct Professor Ruth Stewart and Acting Deputy Secretary Regional Health, NSW Health, Brendon Cutmore.
Mr Guisard covered key topics including communities, workforce, social factors, sector and policy and governance.
RDN CEO, Richard Colbran, said “This is superb recognition of RDN’s contributions to, and understanding of, remote, rural and regional health, plus acknowledgement of Yann’s reputation in the sector.”
