2018 Outreach Forum
In 2018, the Outreach Forum was held over 14 and 15 June at the Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour, Sydney. The forum hosted 110 delegates and speakers from across NSW and inspired collaboration, networking and the exchange of ideas within the health Outreach sector. The forum hosted plenary speakers from the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW, the Department of Health, and Outreach providers leading innovative services in NSW.
The table top presentations focused on themes of community engagement and collaboration, chronic disease prevention and management, and Medicare models. A range of speakers represented diverse Outreach services across NSW including Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service, Hunter New England Local Health District, Grand Pacific Health, Central Coast Primary Care, Australian Hearing, Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Community and Medical Services, Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation, HealthWISE New England North West, Agency for Clinical Innovation, Awabakal Ltd., Sydney North Primary Health Network, South Western Sydney Local Health District, and NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN).
