New diabetes clinic in Windsor

Aboriginal people and those on a low income in the Hawkesbury area, can now access a bulk-billed multi-disciplinary diabetes clinic in Windsor.

This new service is a joint program between the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network (NBMPHN), Nepean Diabetes Service and Advance Medical Practice, with funding from RDN. It is hoped that the service will improve access to diabetes care for Aboriginal people living in the region.

Endocrinologist, Dr Irfan Aziz will be joined by diabetes educators from Nepean Diabetes Service, every second Friday at Advance Medical Practice, Windsor. Referrals to Dr Aziz at Advance Medical Practice are welcomed from all GPs in the region.
