RURAL IMMERSION EXPERIENCES
RDN provides a range of opportunities for students to immerse themselves in rural communities and healthcare environments to encourage them towards a career in rural health, including:
- Go Rural road trips
- Bush Bursaries
- Outreach Student Placement Programs
- Nurse Student Rural Placement Project
Why should students take the immersion pathway?
Studies have shown that rural exposure during medical training is strongly associated with an increased likelihood of students entering rural practice post-graduation.
