Relocation Grants

Primary health care practitioners making the transition to live and work in many NSW rural and remote towns have the opportunity to apply to the NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) for a Relocation Grant.

Grants of up to $5,000 are available to eligible GPs, nurses and allied health practitioners moving to rural NSW communities. Eligible locations are Modified Monash Model (MMM) 3-7 towns. Generally, you must be relocating to a more rural location based on the MMM category, however applications outside of this are considered on a case by case basis.

Practice Sustainability Grants

The sustainability of rural general and allied health practice is dependent on a well-trained administration and support staff.  Through our Health Workforce Needs Assessment and workforce surveys, RDN has identified the need for specific resources and training for Practice Managers and Administrators.  Through targeted initiatives, RDN provides support to enhance the sustainability of the primary healthcare practice. To find out about upcoming initiatives that will be available for practice support and enhancement, sign up to receive the Practice Made Perfect (PMP) newsletter.
