The Rural Doctors Network (RDN) provides a FREE recruitment service to employers in remote, rural and regional in NSW to help recruit and retain General Practitioners and Doctors, working in primary healthcare in MMM 2-7.

Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) in MMM 1-7 will be supported.

Services include:

  • Screening of applicants
  • Access a range of resources to relocate, orientate and support new recruits

Locums

The Rural Doctors Network (RDN) Locum Program provides and facilitates short term locum relief for permanent GPs located in rural NSW MMM 2-7 classification areas and ACCHOs in MMM1-7. It aims to improve the retention of rural GPs by providing cost-saving locum services. Priority is given to permanent GPs in more rural areas, in towns with three or less GPs and who require temporary leave. The aim is to improve the retention of rural GPs by providing cost-saving locum services.
