Rural GP/Doctors Pathway

All General Practitioners are required to undertake three steps, depending on their situation, to be able to practise in rural New South Wales:

  1. Medical registration.
  2. Immigration (if you’re an International Medical Graduate/Overseas Trained Doctor).
  3. Obtain a Provider Number.

Each situation is unique so please review our web content then get in touch with us to help you identify the pathway you need to take to go rural. Our application process can also help to step you through this.
