AH&MRC appoints RDN’s Nicole Turner as interim Chief Executive Officer

The Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) has announced the appointment of Kamilaroi woman, Nicole Turner, as its interim Chief Executive Officer.

thumb_200x200_2551782.jpgAH&MRC Chairperson, Jamie Newman, said “Nicole is a real leader across our sector and brings her experience and skills in relationship building, her knowledge of the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector, and her vast understanding of governance and leadership to our organisation.”  

“We are very excited to have her on board over this transitional period as we work toward greater stability,” Jamie said.  

Nicki first joined Rural Doctors Network (RDN) as Aboriginal Workforce Engagement Manager in 2019. She was appointed RDN’s Director Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement in 2023 and has been a valued member of the RDN Executive.  

RDN CEO, Richard Colbran, said “RDN is very pleased to congratulate and support Nicki during her interim appointment at AH&MRC. RDN truly values our long-standing relationship with AH&MRC."

The AH&MRC supports Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) to be sustainable and promotes holistic and culturally strong approaches to redressing health inequities for Aboriginal peoples in NSW.
