ADHD in Children Masterclass
About the Masterclass:
With ADHD diagnoses increasing and co-prescribing becoming more common, the ADHD in Children Masterclass provides practical insights into managing ADHD medications in paediatric patients. Whether you're already prescribing or want to learn more, this session will help you navigate ADHD treatment with confidence.
The Masterclass will be accredited for CPD and PDP with RACGP and ACRRM.

- Getting started – When to prescribe, who to prescribe for, and when to refer.
- Best practices in prescribing – Dosing, monitoring, managing side effects, and optimising treatment.
- Adolescents & transition to adulthood – How to prepare for when your patients turn 18 and what makes a good referral.
- Making Medicare work for you and your patients – Practical strategies for better outcomes.
- Case discussions & Q&A – Gain insights from experienced presenters.
There will also be pre-workshop activities including a brief audit. AADPA resources (Guidelines of 2022 and Medication Guide of 2024) will also be provided.
Expert Presenters:
- Associate Professor John Kramer – A rural GP with over 30 years' experience in ADHD management and advocacy. He is actively involved in medical education and mentorship and has been an Other Designated Prescriber (ODP) for three decades.
- Dr. Corin Miller – A Rural Generalist with Advanced Skills in Paediatrics and Child Health. She was named the 2023 National Rural and Remote Health Practitioner of the Year and is the founder of the Djing.gii Gudjaagalali (Children Stars) Kids Clinic in Eden, NSW.
