About the webinar

Sonic has been the supplier of ear and hearing equipment to Aboriginal Medical Services (AMSs) across Australia for more than 10 years. This webinar will look at how AMSs with hearing screening services can apply for hearing screening equipment approved by the Department of Health. Approved equipment and their features will also be demonstrated.

Werner Schwendener, General Manager, Sonic Innovations

Werner joined the hearing industry in 1989. Originally from Switzerland, he started his career with Ascom Audiosys, which later became Bernafon. After 10 years of travelling the world as Export Manager for Bernafon and ReSound, Werner joined Sonic Innovations in 1999 as both a Business Development Executive for Hearing Aid Wholesale in QLD, ACT and WA, and as the Equipment Division Manager. 

Today, Werner is the General Manager of Sonic Innovations. Over the past 22 years under Werner’s lead the business has grown substantially to become the largest distributor of audiological equipment in Australia. Sonic holds major equipment supply contracts with Hearing Australia, various neonatal hearing screening programs and the Department of Health to name just a few. Sonic is based at Nundah QLD, with staff in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.
