Outreach Vacancies

Outreach programs provide urban and regionally based health practitioners with the rewarding opportunity to experience working in a rural or Aboriginal community (and in some cases this has resulted in health practitioners relocating permanently to rural locations). The program also supports students and registrars to participate in health Outreach clinics and gain exposure to rural and Aboriginal health.

This list is for services funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care (DHAC) and administered by RDN across NSW and the ACT. RDN frequently updates the list of Outreach vacancies to maintain its currency; however, this vacancy information is ultimately provided by local organisations that operate individual services and is likely to change as services develop. This list does not include any Outreach vacancies that are not funded by Outreach programs administered by RDN.

If you are a health professional registered to practise in Australia or otherwise formally recognised and are interested in providing health Outreach services, please register your details on our Expression of Interest form. Alternatively, email RDN or call 02 8337 8100. RDN will contact you once you have expressed an interest in Outreach to discuss current vacancies.

RDN works closely with the local health organisations responsible for the local management and administration of services, and the local health organisation will make any appointment decisions.
